New pressure treated deck. All boards are being oiled during construction on all six sides. This prevents warping and checking (cracking at the grain). In the photo you will notice that the natural oils turn the inherent green look that is present in all pressure treated wood into a warm brown walnut color.
Even the frame is treated with natural oils. Oiling ALL of the components on all sides (and especially the end grains) will greatly increase the life of the deck, reduce shrinkage and warping, and prevent checking (cracks).

The secret to our decks' longevity lies in how the deck is framed.
Recent Troy Project Before
If your deck is framed incorrectly it will trap gunk and moisture. When the weather turns colder, the moisture will freeze each night and thaw during the day. This back and forth will pulverize any material. We have developed a way to prevent this problem.
